Templates are a way to centrally control snippets that appear in more than one page. Forms on the other hand show how to format common pages such as lesson plans.

All templates lists all Wikigogy templates alphabetically

How to use

Type the above, to add whatever is in Template:Example to a page.

If the template does not exist yet, a link to create it will appear instead.

New template

Only create a new template if it is really needed. Always explain the need for the template on it's Talk page. templates not justified on their Talk pages will be deleted.

Common Wikigogy templates

Initial letter is case insensitive, e.g. {{Copyvio}} and {{copyvio}} are one and the same

  • {{copyvio}} indicates a page is a copyright violation. You must substantiate your claim at top of the page's talk page and include a varifiable reference to the original copyrighted work there.
  • {{deletebecause|type reason here}} requests a page or section be deleted; after the pipe (|) type reason for deletion and sign with --~~~~. Adds page to Category:Recommended for deletion.
  • {{stub}} indicates a page is in an early stage and needs work. Adds page to Category:Stubs to work on.
  • {{form}} marks Form pages as such and provide brief instruction.
  • {{cleanup|note}} indicates a page needs cleaning up. Replace the optional "note" part with clean up tips, and sign there with --~~~~. This template also automatically puts the pages containing it into Category:Clean up.
  • {{comment|here}} for inline comments. Replace "here" with your comment and sign in there with --~~~~.
