Wikigogy's copyright license promotes copying our material, collaboration on our material and efficient dissemination of knowledge. We choose not to limit commercial use of our material because we hope people will find a way to prosper with it.

Use a neutral tone. People may strongly disagree about things on Wikigogy. It is alright to do so in non-emotional and courteous tone.

History

2006, in March Roger launched Wikigogy.org with MediaWiki software for TEFL/TESL collaboration and networking.

2010, November, Wikigogy logo of apples is created with text "Wikigogy" and subtext "English lesson basket." Also in November, MediaWiki software is updated to version 1.16.0, site skin is switched from Monobook to Vector and Google text ads are introduced in a new right column.

Technical

Wikigogy runs on open source MediaWiki software for open information collaboration on the Web. Special:Version shows the PHP, MediaWiki and MySQL versions we run on. More about Web hosting.

Owner

Who owns Wikigogy?

  • You own your own words. The whole site's content, but not the ads in the right column nor the Wikigogy name and branding, is specifically released under Creative Commons BY-SA 3.0 with the idea that we are all freely sharing with the world what we write here.
  • Roger owns the wikigogy.org domain name, the Wikigogy name and branding, and currently pays the server bills.
  • The Media Wiki wiki engine is open source software running on Linux.
