Quick debate
Students pick slips of paper out of your hat. Each has a noun on it — bicycle, refrigerator, etc. Pairs of students draw one item each and have to debate which is more important.

These are okay for 15 minutes or so with students who have a sufficient level of English already with which to engage each other in discussion started by the cards.
